چکیده
Purpose: To establish a diagnosis method based on imaging findings and histopathological factors associated with cervical lymph node metastasis. Methods: A total of 1587 nodes that were detected using tools in 73 OSCC patients who underwent surgical treatment enrolled to evaluate the association between (long diameter, short long–short ratio, US (hilum internal echo), contrast effect enhanced CT, standardized uptake value (SUV) max SUV average 18F FDG-Positron Emission Tomography (PET)) metastatic nodes. In 57 patients, biopsy specimens evaluated for histopathologic (budding score, lymphatic invasion, vascular nerve YK classification) presence metastases. Cervical metastasis was determined examination no observed 3 years after primary surgery. Results: total, 22 had pathologically. comparison nodes, univariate analysis showed significant differences long long/short echo, rim enhancement, max, average, budding invasion. Multivariable score. Conclusions: We propose chart diagnostic system combines improve

متن کاملCorrelation between p33ING1b Cytoplasmic Transfer and Lymph Node Metastasis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background: Oral squamous cell carcinoma is the sixth most common malignancy in the world today. ING1b/p33 is a newly-discovered tumor suppressor which enhances p53 activity. Transfer of p33 protein from nucleus to cytoplasmic compartment has been previously reported in leukemias. The objective of this study was to determine the correlation between p33ing1b cytoplasmic transfer and lymph node ...

Background and Objective: Oral cancer accounts for less than 3% of all cancers. Despite recent improvement in diagnostic and treatment methods, the overall survival of the disease is unfavorable. Several studies have been performed to assess factors influencing lymph node metastasis and prognosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate some clinical and pathological factors influencing lymph ...

متن کاملA Comparative Study of CT Scan and MRI in The Assessment of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of The Oral Cavity and Its Cervical Lymph Node Metastasis
Introduction: Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is the most common head and neck malignancy. To decrease the side effects of treatment and mortality from disease relapse, careful staging for the proper treatment plan is necessary. The main purpose of this prospective study is to compare the diagnostic value of Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Im-aging (MRI) in oral SCC and its lymph ...
